So maybe we've gotten a little wary of the Bush Man scaring the bejesus out of us like some tree-branch-costumed nightmare as we escort our out-of-town guests along Fisherman's Wharf. But then there's Kenneth Kahn, aka Kenny the Clown, the 6-foot-3 clown with the purple wig who humors kids with magic tricks as well as adults, because those tricks are done slightly awkwardly, and stuns all with his fiery torch juggling while rolling down the street on a skateboard. (He claims he's been picked up by the cops for that stunt, getting booked and having his mug shot snapped while in full face paint.) Kenny found himself with a disproportionate level of press scrutiny of late, including his picture in The New York Times, due to his write-in bid for mayor last November, but the fame seems to have mostly worn off once he only actually earned three votes. It's all good, Kenny: SF Weekly is still doling out the love.
