The 1000 Journals Project

Published on November 21, 2008 at 4:26am

A few years ago, Someguy (he's an artist) sent out 1,000 blank journals into the world with a humble request: Hey, you holding the blank journal, fill it up! People did. Some people did. Some sent their journals back to Someguy; others kept them in circulation, and they traveled the world. A film was made, an exhibition staged. Now, a world-class museum wants a piece. This exhibit presents some of the journals that have found their way back to S.F., and also offers blank journals and art supplies for visitors to try their hand at community art.
