Heather Has Lots of People Who Love Her

Leaving Heather Has Two Mommies in the dust, the Trans Community Picnic is a big party for families who are more honest than most. We're pretty sure all families have members whose genders don't "conform" in one way or another; most just try to hide it, which is silly and impractical. But today in the park, queer family group COLAGE presents a potluck day full of games, art-making, and lazing around listening to music. Kids of trans parents, trans kids, and people of any anatomy or hormone level (including those who are considering starting a family) are invited; the group also celebrates the publication of its new Kids of Trans Resource Guide. Hula hoops and bubble machines are strongly encouraged.
